PURPOSE: To efficiently form fine particles having a new functional characteristic, by constituting a gaseous phase apparatus by arranging a plurality of treatment chambers along the flow passage of the downstream side of a nozzle ejecting a raw material.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of treatment chambers 2a, 2b... are arranged along the flow passage of the downstream side of a nozzle 1 ejecting a raw material being fine particles capable of being injected from the nozzle 1 in a gaseous or suspended state. The raw material ejected from the nozzle 1 is throttled in its flow passage by the nozzle 1. Therefore, by appropriately determining the shape of the nozzle 1 or the pressures in the upstream and downstream sides thereof, the raw material can be injected in the treatment chambers 2a, 2b... from the nozzle 1 without being diffused largely. The raw material is subjected to gaseous phase treatment by the atmosphere during treatment each time when passes through the treatment chambers 2a, 2b... to be applied with multistage gaseous phase treatment.
