Abstract:

To provide a gasket having excellent sealing performance, particularly excellent sealing performance against a liquid such as water.

The gasket includes an adhesive sheet having an adhesive layer, and a base material sheet laminated on one surface of the adhesive sheet. The gasket has a strain recovery rate of at least 40% according to the following compressive strain recovery test (I): compressing a sample having a square planar shape of 10 mm square while heating the sample at 80°C by applying a load in the thickness direction of the sample until the sample thickness becomes 75% of the sample total thickness before compression; then releasing the load and measuring the sample total thickness 3 hours after load releasing; and calculating the strain recovery rate according to the following equation: strain recovery rate (%)=(sample total thickness 3 hours after load releasing-(sample total thickness before compression×0.75))/(sample total thickness before compression×0.25)×100.
