Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate cutter of a preform for a plastic bottle capable of cutting a gate part of the preform so that gate marks become uniform.
SOLUTION: A bottom part of the preform 10 is supported by being inserted into a receiving hole 59 of a pallet 58 and the pallet is conveyed to a gate cutting part. A mouth part of the preform held with the pallet arranged in the gate cutting part is stabilized by elastically pressing it by a presser plate 66. A cutter main body 20 having a guide component 25 for positioning the gate in a projected state by receiving the bottom part of the preform to pass it through a hole of a central part, the cutter for cutting the gate part projected from the guide component by pivoting along a surface of the guide component and a driver for making the cutter be pivotally operated, is raised toward the bottom part of the preform held by the pallet. The preform 10 and the presser plate 66 are pressed up against an elastic means 67 by the guide component 25 to cut the gate part under that state with the cutter.
