Title:
INFRARED BEAM CONDENSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3760196
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared beam condensing device that can concentrate infrared light having a wavelength of at least scores of microns to a small region of sub microns or less with high efficiency, can take out a near field of the small region of sub microns or less with high efficiency, and can obtain a scan image.
SOLUTION: The infrared beam condensing device comprises a solid immersion lens 2 that connects incident light 8 or emitted light 9 to an antenna with high efficiency and is made of a medium having a high refractive index; the antenna 4 that is provided on a bottom surface of the solid immersion lens 2 and allows the incident light 8 or the emitted light 9 to resonate geometrically; a probe 4b that is a rod-like conductive material having a radical point projecting from the antenna 4; and a position control means for controlling the position of the probe 4b via a cantilever 5. The incident light 8 or the emitted light 9 is connected to the antenna 4 at a high-dielectric-constant medium side, and an antenna geometrically generating resonance is used for increasing efficiency.
