Abstract:
To provide a gate device capable of surely detecting an edge tool such as a knife that a suspicious person hides.SOLUTION: A gate device comprises: a vertically elongated gate constituted of both sidewalls and an upper-side wall connecting upper ends of both the sidewalls; a plurality of magnetic field forming coils which are provided side by side in a vertical direction on one sidewall of the vertically elongated gate and form magnetic fields in a space of the vertically elongated gate that an inspection target passes; a plurality of sensor coils which are provided side by side in the vertical direction on the other sidewall of the vertically elongated gate correspondingly to the plurality of magnetic field forming coils, for each detecting fluctuation caused by a magnetic body in the magnetic field formed by the correspondent magnetic field forming coil; an electrification circuit which causes a current to flow to the plurality of magnetic field forming coils and the plurality of sensor coils; a control circuit for controlling a magnitude of the electrification current to the plurality of magnetic field forming coils and the plurality of sensor coils; a detection circuit detecting that the detection target has a metal body from signals of the plurality of sensor coils; and an alarm which issues an alarm upon receiving a signal of the detection circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
