Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically generate a horizontal BP value and a vertical BP value and lighten the burden on a user by providing a counter which counts dot clocks between a horizontal synchronizing signal and display data and a circuit which obtains the minimum value of counter output. CONSTITUTION: For the automatic generation of the horizontal BP value, the counter 3 is cleared with the horizontal synchronizing signal 1 and counts up by one each time a dot clock 2 is inputted, a register stores the minimum value of the horizontal BP value obtained so far, and a comparator 5 compares the outputs of the register and counter 3 and writes the counter output in the register if display data other than black display data appears in a period wherein a condition of (register) > (counter output) is met. This operation is repeated to store the minimum counter output of appearance of the display data 6, i.e., horizontal BP values H and P in the register, and those are used as a horizontal write start position. Consequently, while the trouble that the user takes for setting is reduced, the horizontal BP value can be obtained and the vertical direction is the same.
