Abstract:
To provide a GLP-2 analog enhancing growth of small intestine tissues, and to provide therapeutic use and related application thereof.
The human GLP-2 peptide analog contains at least one amino acid substitution chosen from the group consisting of (a) a substitution wherein an amino acid at position 2 and/or 3 is replaced by an amino acid that confers resistance to cleavage by DPP-IV enzyme to the analog, (b) a substitution wherein an amino acid at position 10 is replaced by an oxidatively stable amino acid and (c) a substitution wherein an amino acid at position 20 is replaced by an amino acid chosen from Lys, His and Ala.
