Abstract:
SOLUTION: To provide a golf ball with a core and a cover that includes: a plurality of grooves or holes at a surface of the core made of a polybutadiene rubber; and a polybutadiene rubber having a composition different from the polybutadiene rubber forming a core body and filled in those grooves or holes, where those groove parts or hole parts into which the polybutadiene rubber is filled have a surface hardness that is higher than a surface hardness of the core body.EFFECT: A golf ball suppresses torsion caused by external force while maintaining a sufficient amount of flexure at the time of ball hitting and reduces a rate of spin without deteriorating resilience. The golf ball effectively increases a carry, especially, upon being hit by a driver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
