Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items without increasing the inertia force of a one-way clutch at the time of providing a starter with a governor device for preventing the generation of early return of the one-way clutch by providing a stopper member, which is helical spline fitted in a gear shaft so as to prevent the return of one-way clutch.
SOLUTION: When a starter is driven, a governor weight 13 is moved by the centrifugal force to the outer diameter side inside of a guide groove 12e, resisting a spring 14, and with this movement of the governor weight 13 along an inclination guide 15d, the governor weight 13 rotates a stopper member 15 in the direction opposite to the rotating direction in relation to the gear shaft 2 of a one-way clutch 4. When the one-way clutch 4 is positioned in the advance condition, the stopper member 15 is relatively moved in the same direction with the circumferential direction based on the inclination guide 15d, and overlap of a tip of a stopper piece 15b with a clutch inner 5 is canceled, and early return of the one-way clutch 4 is thereby prevented.
