PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular bleaching activator which is excellent in solubility and storage stability and is useful as a bleaching agent with excellent bleaching effect and as a detergent by granulating a specific organic bleaching activator with a water-soluble binder in the presence of an α-olefinsulfonic acid.
SOLUTION: (A) A bleaching activator of formula I or II (R2 is a 10-15C alkyl, alkenyl; R2 is a 7-13 alkyl, alkenyl; M is a salt-forming cation, H) and (B) an α-olefinsulfonate are granulated using (C) a water-soluble binder. In the component A, the alkyls or alkenyls of R1 and R2 are preferably straight chains, respectively. The M is preferably an alkali metal and the SO3M or COOM is in the para-position in the formula. The component C is solid at room temperature and preferably melts, when heat is applied. In particular, the use of polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of 300-3,000 is desirable.
