Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically paint out a complex graphic form by setting a virtual point on a side formed by the vertex of the graphic form to be painted out and a specified vertex and setting the intermediate point of the side forming the virtual point as a painting out reference point. CONSTITUTION:A polygon ABCDEFGH is plotted and vertexes positioned on respective upper, a lower, right, and left ends are retrieved to specify the vertexes B, D, F, H. Then, respective angles theta1-theta4 of these vertexes are found out and the vertex having the maximum angle is retrieved to specify the vertex F. Then, a triangle EFG formed by the vertex F and its adjacent vertexes E, G is considered, virtual points E', G' are set on the positions of the sides FE, FG respectively separated from the vertex F by length L and an intermediate point P1 of the side E'G' is defined as a pointing-out reference point. After ending the retrieval of the painting-out reference point, a painting-out command based upon the reference point is formed to paint out the plotted polygon.
