Title:
GRAPHITE-CONTAINING REINFORCING BAR TO BE EXCAVATED, AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3251159
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reinforcing bar remarkably improved in machinability and enhanced in the reinforced concrete-boring efficiency by specifying the chemical composition of a reinforcing bar and incorporating specific amounts of graphite.
SOLUTION: A material, having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.3-1.0% C, 0.6-1.3% Si, 0.3-1.5% Mn, ≤0.1% P, ≤0.1% S, further one or more kinds among 0.05-5.0% Ni, 0.001-0.005% B, 0.002-0.015% N, and 0.03-0.30% Mo, and the balance iron, is cast. Directly after the rolling of the resultant casting, the rolled stock is cooled rapidly down to at least 300°C at ≥100°C/min average cooling rate and subjected, after heating at 750-900°C for ≥5min if necessary, to holding at 550-750°C for ≥1hr to form graphite. By this method, the desired reinforcing bar containing 0.2-1.0% graphite can be obtained. Further, the regulation of Al content and ferritic grain size to <0.01% and ≤5, respectively, is effective.
