To provide a gravity casting method with which yield properties can be improved, and a cast product of a quality equivalent to that of the conventional one can be produced at a low cost.
The gravity casting method includes: a step of turning a molding die 1 provided with a feeder head part 16 communicating with the cavity 14 on the upper part of a cavity 14 into a horizontal state to pour a molten metal 3 from a runner 12 communicating with the cavity 14; a step of turning the molding die 1 into a tilted state by a prescribed angle from a stage in which the molten metal is filled into the runner 12 during the pouring of the molten metal, and spreading the molten metal into the cavity 14 and the feeder head part 16 while pouring the molten metal; and a step of returning the molding die 1 to a horizontal state after the completion of the pouring of the molten metal to solidify the molten metal.
