A tentative assembling stage 10 on which tentative assembling and tack welding are performed on a boom 1, has configuration in which an operation table 20 that self-travels along a guide rail 21 is mounted with a center block support member 31 and a boss part support part members 32, 33. In a tentative assembling position P1, while the center block 2 and boss parts 5, 6 are held on the operation table 20 and tentatively assembled, the operation table 20 is made to self-travel to a transfer position P2 which is in the nearest position to welding stages 11, 12.
