The gravure roll in which a cell is formed on the peripheral surface of the roll is provided, wherein a region is present in at least one end part in the direction of a rotary shaft of the gravure roll, in which a cell volume is 0.90 times or less the cell volume at the center in the direction of the rotary shaft of the gravure roll and the ratio (Vb/Va) of the average cell volume Vb in the region in which the cell volume is 0.90 times or less as described above to the average cell volume Va in a region other than the region in which the cell volume is 0.90 or less ranges from 0.70 to 0.90.
