PURPOSE: To perform grinding with increased retaining force for abrasive grains and stable anti-abrasiveness and establish high precision grinding through maintaining of the tool shape precisely with a base material by adhering strands of fiber to the base material, and affixing abrasive grains to the strands.
CONSTITUTION: Fiber strands 2 made from fabric, knit, netting, etc., are adhered to the surface of a base material 1 or the inside thereof formed in a specified shape. and abrasive grains 3 are affixed to these strands 2 to form a grinding tool. Therein the abrasive grains 3 are fixed in mixed state in the fibers constituting strand. Each strand 2 is made in multifold twine. The grinding tool thus formed conducts grinding upon mounting the base of the material 1 fast to a turbine driving device for putting it in a high speed rotation. Cooling water is fed from a hole 1a provided at the axis of the base material 1 so as to cool the part of processing and remove the waste from processing, which ensures stable processing. Thereby the retaining force for the abrasive grains 3 is increased, and the tool shape is maintained by the base material 1 precisely.
