Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make grinding capacity in a grinding wheel maintainable for hours, by forming abrasive grains dispersedly over the surface of a grinding wheel block metal, and covering it with a hard film in addition.
CONSTITUTION: Abrasive grains (for example, CBN abrasive grains) are formed on an outer circumferential surface of a grinding wheel block metal 1 simultaneously with Ni by means of the conventional electrodeposition process or chemical plating one. Next, with an ion plating process, a hard film (for example, TiN) 5 is covered in thickness at about 3μm, and a CBN composite grinding wheel is manufactured.
