Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drill an large hole at a high speed in a good rectileanear manner.
SOLUTION: A pilot hole (d) is drilled from a start vertical hole B to an arrival vertical hole C with a pilot hole bit or a non-core bit. Then, a pilot bit 51 as a large bit 50 is inserted from the start vertical hole B into the pilot hole (d) to be used as a guide, so that a large hole can be drilled by the rotation, blow and propulsion of a reaming bit 57 connected backward. The rotating and blowing force is granted from a rotary percussion 21.
