A golf cart 1 serving as a guided vehicle which can self-travel along a path 50 of travel has a reception circuit 32a as a receiving part for receiving the control information sent from a sending circuit 56 serving as the sending means of a noncontact IC tag 51 serving as the traffic sign provided on the path 50 of travel, and has a control circuit 13 as a control means for controlling travel according to the control information received by the reception circuit 32a. Sending the control information from the sending means of the traffic sign ensures that the golf cart, even if stopped near the traffic sign, can receive the control information and travel according to the traffic sign.
