To provide a guiding light device which reduces a power consumption while attaining a regulated standard of an average luminance on a display surface.
In the guiding light device, a light emitting portion 2 and display surface 31 of a display panel 3 are divided into three light emitting regions Z1 to Z3 in a right and left direction, and each of the light emitting regions Z1 to Z3 are divided into a central light emitting region Z2 where a ratio of a white color portion 31a in the display surface 31 is larger, as a first step, and right and left regions Z1, Z3 where the white color portion 31a does not exist or is smaller, as a second step. Furthermore, In the light emitting portion 1, a luminance of the right and left regions Z1, Z3 is made lower than the luminance of the central light emitting region Z2 where the white color portion 31a is larger in the first step, and, as a result, loss due to a green color portion 31b is reduced as compared with a case where the luminance of the light emitting portion 1 is made uniform by making the light emitting region Z2 in which the white color portion 31a with high transmittance is larger higher, and a power consumption is reduced while attaining a regulated standard of an average luminance of the display surface 31.
