To provide a hair dryer including a step having straightening operation inside a nozzle.

The hair dryer 10 includes: a body case 13 including a heat source, a fan, and a motor inside, and a vent hole at one end and an inlet 16 at the other end; and a nozzle 25. In the hair dryer 10, the nozzle 25 includes a cavity inside and one opening is set to be an elliptic blowout opening 29 and the other is set to be a circular connecting port connected to the vent hole of the body case 13. A long-diameter portion of the elliptical blowout opening 29 is formed while becoming larger than a diameter of the circular vent hole and curvedly widening from the vent hole toward the blowout opening 29. A short-diameter portion of the elliptical blowout opening 29 is formed while becoming smaller than the diameter of the circular vent hole and curvedly narrowing from the vent hole toward the blowout opening 29. An internal surface of a cavity is divided into at least two step part areas 31 at a prescribed position in a longitudinal direction of the cavity, and the step 32 is formed in a boundary portion of the step part areas.
