To provide a hair iron which can naturally and easily stretch or curl the hair.
The hair iron includes an upper hand grip 1 and a lower hand grip 2 which are combined by a hinge section 5 at the ends, are constituted to touch each other and respectively have heating sections 8 and 9 to be heated by electricity within, and an upper heat generating board 3 and a lower heat generating board 4 which are respectively disposed on the contact surfaces of the individual hand grips 1 and 2 and are heated by the heating sections 8 and 9 to generate heat. Hemispherical unevenness sections 11 and 12 are separately formed in lines on the surfaces of the upper heat generating board 3 and the lower heat generating board 4. When the surfaces of the upper heat generating board 3 and the lower heat generating board 4 touch each other, the unevenness sections 11 and 12 are arranged in the manner that recesses 11a and 12a and projections 11b and 12b bite each other and both ends of the individual heat generating boards 3 and 4 are formed in a straight line.
