Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely set the hair between heat plates by providing a hair iron with a first heat plate to be heated by steam and a second heat plate to be heated by an electric heater to a temperature higher than the temperature of the first heat plate.
SOLUTION: This hair iron A has a body 1 formed of a heat part 4 containing a steam generating mechanism 2 and a handle 3 containing a circuit which is a part to be held in use, and a tank 5 which is a means for supplying water to the steam generating mechanism 2, and a presser plate 7. A first heat plate 15 to be heated by steam is arranged on the body 1 side, and a second heat plate 16 to be heated by an electric heater is arranged on the presser plate 7 so as to be opposed to the first heat plate 15 when rotated and moved into closed state. To correct the curl of the hair, the hair is nipped between the body 1 and the presser plate 7, and steam is generated in the state where the both 1, 7 are closed. The hair is pressed by the first heat plate 15 and the second heat plate 16, whereby the curl or curve of the hair can be straightened.
