This hair agent contains (A) a carboxy group-containing thickening macromolecular compound, (B) an alkaline material, (C) a silicone powder of a material selected from a methylsiloxane network polymer and/or a crosslinked methylsiloxane, (D) a silicone oil, (E) one or more kinds of polyhydric alcohols selected from the group consisting of glycerol, ethylene glycol, a polyethylene glycol (having ≤1,000 average molecular weight), propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol and dipropylene glycol, (F) ethanol and (G) 45-85 mass% water.
