Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the novel compsn. suitable for the catalyst which can make reduction cracking of NOx in gases having a high oxygen content.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. consists of a multi-component oxide contg. metal elements M which have bivalent valency and can attain univalent or trivalent valency (for example, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni), bivalent or trivalent metal elements M' (for example, Ca, Y, Er, Yb), Zr, P, and Si. The entire compsn. satisfies MaM'bZr4P6-xSiyO24-z (where 0<a≤1.0, 0≤b<1.0, a=1-(valency of M')×b/2, 0<x≤1.0. 0<y≤1.0). The catalyst powder is obtd. by weighing the oxides and compds. of the respective elements, then treating the oxide and compds. at 700 to 1400°C.
