To provide a Hakama (skirtlike trousers for Japanese fencing) for Kendo which is designed so as to prevent pleats from spreading toward the bottom.
The Kendo Hakama includes a front body part and a back body part provided with a back stay: wherein the front body part includes first, second and third left-front pleats, first and second right-front pleats, an intermediate belt stop part sewn up on the front body part at its belt-tying position between the end part of the first left-front pleat and the end part of the first right-front pleat, a left-front belt having a left-front belt-sewn-up part sewn up on the front body part ranging from the end part of the first left-front pleat to the left end part of the front body trimming part in a slanted posture and free in its remaining part, and a right-front belt having a right-front belt-sewn-up part sewn up on the front body part ranging from the end part of the first right-front pleat to the right end part of the front body trimming part in a slanted posture and free in its remaining part; and a back body part provided with right and left back belts between the back-body upper end part and the back stay.
