Abstract:
To provide a half-split thrust bearing capable of effectively preventing partial contact with a slide surface of a mating member, such as a crank shaft, in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A semi-annular shaped half-split thrust bearing for receiving axial force has a bearing surface, and the difference of elevation between a maximum value and a minimum value of a height of the bearing surface from a reference surface in a radial direction of the half-split thrust bearing falls within a range of 0-75 micrometers. Consequently, the bearing surface of the half-split thrust bearing and a slide surface of a mating member can be effectively prevented from partially contacting with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
