To provide a hand-held type capture device which can certainly capture a creature coming into a net.

In the capture device, a net 3 is installed to the tip end of a hand-held rod 2 and a net driving means 12 for feeding the power for automatically changing a shape of the net 3 from a state in which the opening 4 of the net 3 is open to a state in which the opening is closed and an operation member 13 which brings the net drive means 12 to be controllable on the rear 2b side of the rod 3. Preferably, the net drive means 12 is a forcing material 12 always giving restoration force to the net toward the closed state of the opening 4. The operation member 13 brings the net 3 to be held in a state in which the opening 4 is open against the enforcing power of the forcing material and can operate to release the held state in which the opening 4 is open on the rear end side 26 of the rod 3.
