Title:
HANDLE GRIP FOR MOTORCYCLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6430895
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a hand gripping a handle grip from being cooled and improve driving operability and safety by fitting an electric heating element using a battery as a power supply on the hand grip for a motorcycle.

CONSTITUTION: When the switch 5 of a hand grip 1 is turned on after a main switch 7 is tuned on to rotate an engine, a heating element wire 2 is excited, the temperature of the hand grip 1 rises. The heating element wire 2 cannot be excited while the engine is stopped, thereby the heat storage quantity of a battery is prevented from being exhausted, and the temperature of the handle grip 1 can be surely increased at the time of a travel operation. The heating element wire 2 is folded and arranged on an electrically insulating heat-resistant base material 10 to form a heating element sheet 9, both ends of the heating element wire 2 are fixed to terminal holders 4, 4, and lead wires 6, 6 are extracted. The sheet 9 is wound on the handle grip 1, one lead wire 6 is connected to the main switch 7 via the switch 5, and the other lead wire 6 is grounded to a vehicle body 8 to form a circuit between the vehicle body 8 and the battery.
