Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood for handling and confinement of at least two objects of slender shape, such as nuclear material sample holders, in a nuclear environment.SOLUTION: A hood 8 includes an external enclosure 80 and internal enclosures 81 inside the external enclosure. The hood includes a motor 83 adapted to rotate a screw of a screw-nut mechanism of each internal enclosure and therefore a nut over a stroke A. The hood includes first mechanical control means 84 and second mechanical control means, arranged in part above the external enclosure, respectively for manually guiding the internal enclosures in translation over a stroke A0 and manually pivoting the internal enclosures in order to bring a holding member 6 of one of the internal enclosures opposite an opening in the bottom of the external enclosure.
