To provide a handling method of a suction work holder that does not require making a large scale of punching machine even when the work itself becomes larger.
A suction work holder placing the top face having an intake hole upward is mounted on an external initial setup stand 2, and a female connector on the tip of a first flexible intake passage 94 is connected to a male connector to open a check valve V. An air intake system 4 is operated to suck and hold a work 100 on the top face of the suction work holder 3. The suction work holder 3 is reversed and clamped on the moving mechanism 31, and a female connector on the tip of a second flexible intake passage 104 is connected to a male connector to open a check valve V. The female connector of the first flexible intake passage 104 is disconnected from the male connector when suction is started from the intake passage 104. The suction from the second flexible intake passage 94 is continued and the moving mechanism 31 is controlled in X-axis direction and Y-axis direction to punch by means of a punch unit 21.
