Abstract:
To manufacture a sewing machine blade of fine pitch with high precision.
A sewing machine blade of fine pitch can be obtained by the following procedures. A photo-resist is laminated on the surface of a metal plate 10 uniformly, and the exposure and development of the photo-resist film 12 are carried out to form a resist pattern 13 of line shape. The etching of the metal plate 10 is performed using the resist pattern 13 as a mask. The etching is stopped one time when the etching reaches the prescribed depth and a part corresponding to the uncut part of the sewing machine blade of the resist pattern 13 of line shape is removed. Then, the metal plate 10 is etched to the prescribed depth using the processed resist pattern 14 as a mask.
