Abstract:
To obtain a hard coat composition capable of forming hard coat film without generating interference fringe on a substrate having high refractive index and not causing lowering of weather resistance when antireflective film is provided on the hard coat film and provide an optical member using the composition.
This hard coat composition comprises (A) a metal oxide solid solution produced from oxide of tin, titanium and zirconium having 0.1-100 nm average particle diameter, (B) a silane compound having at least one functional group and (C) a curing catalyst. This optical member is obtained by applying the above composition to a transparent substrate and curing the composition and forming a hard coat film thereon.
