Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a steel sheet minimal in the occurrence of earing, capable of avoiding deterioration in productivity due to coil breaks at the annealing stage, and used for a two-piece vessel produced by means of drawing and ironing or stretching.
SOLUTION: This steel sheet has a composition which contains, by weight, ≤0.004% C and ≤0.004% N and in which the value of B/N is regulated to 0.6-1.4 and also the value of (N existing as AlN)/(N existing as BN) is regulated to <0.4 and also has ≥10 μm average crystalline grain size and ≥400 MPa tensile strength. If necessary, 0.04-0.05% P is incorporated. Moreover, secondary cold rolling at 10-40% is applied after final annealing, or slab heating temp. at hot rolling is regulated to ≤1100°C.
