To provide a harness component inserting machine which inserts a harness component certainly and smoothly from an insertion port made in an inserted object, and performs the insertion work of the harness component efficiently.

This machine is provided with a catching means 15 which is equipped with a chuck part 20 for holding a harness component 9 freely of release. The machine is provided with a flexible slender holding member 16 which is provided freely of advance and retreat toward the insertion port of an inserted object 3, holding the catching means 15, and also provided with an insertion means 17 which advances the holding member 16 toward the insertion port of the inserted object 3 so as to insert a harness component 9 held by the chuck part 20 of the catching means 15 and the holding member 16 from the insertion port of the inserted object 3.
