Abstract:
To provide a method and a facility for manufacturing a hat-shaped steel sheet pile, which can stably mold a joint in caliber rolling.SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing a hat-shaped steel sheet pile having a web part, a pair of flange parts, a pair of arm parts, and a pair of joint parts through rolling carried out a plurality of times for a rolled material in one or more grooves in each of a rough rolling mill, an intermediate rolling mill, and a finishing rolling mill. In rolling carried out to make a length of a flange corresponding part on a rolling outlet side longer than that of a flange corresponding part on a rolling inlet side of the rolled material during the intermediate rolling in the one or more grooves by the intermediate rolling mill, rolling is carried out so as to satisfy a relation of B-A>0, in which A denotes an overall area-reduction rate in a cross section of the rolled material, and B denotes an area-reduction rate of the flange corresponding part in the cross section of the rolled material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
