A projecting unit can be fitted to a connecting frame 11b for connecting a right and a left lenses 11a, 11a of spectacles, and fitted to a body of a user through the spectacles 11. Since the projected light is led from an intermediate part of both eyes to a book or the like, even in the case of a relatively fine quantity of light, the reflected light is evenly detected by both the eyes. A back part of this projector is formed with two battery housing spaces partitioned by a relatively low partitioning wall, and a batter can be moved between both the spaces, and the only one space is provided with an electrode. Consequently, when the battery is moved to one space, the projecting unit is electrified so that the light emitting device emits the light, and when the battery is moved to the other space, since the projecting unit is not electrified, the light emitting device does not emit the light. A light projecting unit, which can be used for a long time, can be obtained by providing the projector in the spectacles.
