To simplify a light gathering structure by using only a light-guide member, to use effectively the light from an illuminant by gathering light not used in the past by the light-guide member, and to obtain predetermined light distribution required at the time of cornering without affecting the light distribution at the time of straight driving by preventing the light-guide member from intercepting the light reflected by a reflector.
In a headlamp 1 for a vehicle, a light-guide member 7 for guiding the direct light from an illuminant 4 to a lens 3a is disposed in an intermediate position between a reflector 6 and a lens 3a and in a position not intercepting the light reflected by the reflector 6, and the light gathered by the light-guide member 7 is distributed in a predetermined direction via the lens 3a. Preferably, the light-guide member 7 is a prism or a plurality of optical fibers.
