Abstract:
To generate a high-beam and a passing-each-other beam, without mechanically adjusting a lamp support body, without moving an arc within a specially developed gas discharge lamp, and without dividing a head light.
A gas discharge lamp 4 is built in a fixed position with respect to a reflector 3 in a reflector casing 2 of a headlight 1, an adjustment member 7 is provided and locally mounted so as to be appropriately oriented in an appropriate position with respect to the reflector 3 in the reflector casing 2 of the headlight 1, and the headlight 1 can be made transparent or opaque by controlling the adjustment member 7. This enables the headlight 1 to be changed in kind of beam, such as increased light and decreased light.
