Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight capable of demonstrating the usefulness that is not found in a conventional headlight, whose uses are not only a headlight and a portable flash lamp, but also other uses.SOLUTION: A headlight is composed of a cylindrical first body 11 that accommodates lighting equipment and a battery, and has a first opening 11a at the end part, a cylindrical second body 12 which is relatively slidable with respect to the first body 11, includes a second opening 12a freely abutted to the first opening 11a, and further includes a translucent window 12b, and a cylindrical transparent lateral irradiation part 13 accommodated inside the first body 11 and the second body 12. In an attitude of the first opening 11a and the second opening 12a being closed, the lateral irradiation part 13 cannot be visually recognized from the outside, and illumination light is emitted forward through the translucent window 12b. In an attitude of the first opening 11a and the second opening 12 being open, the lateral irradiation part 13 faces the outside, illumination light is emitted forward and laterally, and a tip 12c' of a leg around the translucent window 12b projects further than the translucent window 12b.
