PURPOSE: To provide a heart assisting system which can be applied to a patient whose right heart function is reduced without requiring thoracic surgery in the heart assisting system in which a catheter baloon is installed by installing a valve which can be deformed to prevent backflow of blood upstream or downstream of the baloon.
CONSTITUTION: A check valve 7, a baloon 6, and a check valve 5 are installed in order from a forward end in a catheter main body part 1, a hollow part 2 for drive fluid to contract/expand the baloon 6 is provided in the catheter main body part 1 at an inner side part of the baloon 6, and a hollow part 4 for guide wire to pass through is formed out of a pipe 3. As the baloon 6 is opened, an atrium pressure is increased, the check valves 5, 7 installed upstream and downstream the baloon 6 are opened to close the upper main vein and lower main vein, and blood for a volume eliminated by expansion of the baloon 6 is supplied through the tricuspid valve to the right ventricle, and then to the pulmonary artery.
