PURPOSE: To provide a heat-degreasing method, by which the degreasing and annealing of a long work can continuously be executed.
CONSTITUTION: In the method for applying the annealing treatment to the long work 1 by continuously passing it through the chamber of heated gas atmosphere in an annealing furnace 3 from an inlet 4 to an outlet 5, a heat- degreasing furnace 7 in which the atmosphere is heated is successively arranged at the inlet of this annealing furnace and gas is flowed from the outlet side to the inlet side of this heat-degreasing furnace. By arranging an extending part 10 of comparatively low temp., extended from the inlet side of the heat- degreasing furnace, oil and gas are separated and discharged to the outer part. The heat-degreasing and continuous annealing are successively executed and the workability is improved and as the oil is recovered and can be reused, this method is economical.
