To provide a heat insulating and retaining material having excellent heat insulating performance and heat retaining performance.
The heat insulating and retaining material is constituted by laminating a first cloth, a high foamed layer and a second cloth in this order and bonding them to one another. Alternatively, the heat insulating and retaining material is constituted by laminating the first cloth, a first high foamed layer, a synthetic resin film layer, a second foamed layer and the second cloth in this order and bonding them to one another. The high foamed layer includes an adhesive, thermally expanded microcapsules and hydrophilic and microporous silica fine powder. While holding the microcapsules and silica fine powder, the adhesive bonds the high foamed layer to the first cloth and the high foamed layer to the second cloth. As the first cloth, a cloth having a synthetic layer arranged on an inner face thereof may be used. Instead of the second cloth, a synthetic resin film layer may be used. The high foamed layer may be arranged on the entire surface or arranged to form a design pattern. As the adhesive, it is appropriate to use a cross-linked adhesive.
