To provide a heat insulation structure of a roof, which ensures the ventilation of the roof via rafters, and at the same time prevents the heat insulation properties at reinforcing members from being damaged.
The heat insulation structure of the roof is constructed of the plurality of rafters 1, 1, etc. arranged at intervals, the plurality of reinforcing members 2, 2, etc. interposed between the mutually adjacent rafters 1, 1, a sheathing roof board 3 arranged over the rafters 1 and the reinforcing members 2, heat insulation members 4 arranged on a rear side of the sheathing roof board 3 in a manner being spaced away from the sheathing roof board 3, and an air layer 5 defined by the sheathing roof board 3 and the heat insulation member 4. The heat insulation member 4 is arranged in each space enclosed by the rafters 1, 1 adjacent to each other, and the reinforcing members 2, 2 adjacent to each other. Further the heat insulation members 4, 4 adjacent to each other across the rafter 1 are separated from each other at a location corresponding to the rafter 1, and at the same time the heat insulation members 4, 4 adjacent to each other across the reinforcing member 2 are connected together by a joint member 6 having heat insulation properties.
