Abstract:
To provide a heat reflecting material with excellent heat reflectance and thermal insulation properties, and sufficient corrosion resistance; a component for molten metal having the same; and a coating agent.
This heat reflecting material is used for a component for reflecting the heat of a molten metal out of handling members for handling molten aluminum or molten aluminum alloy. The heat reflecting material is formed of a grain dispersion type sintered body mainly consisting of rare earth titanate particles (for instance, yttrium titanate particle) expressed by RE2Ti2O7 (where, RE denotes the rare earth element), and MgAl2O4 particles.
