To obtain a heat transfer anisotropic resin which has improved heat conductivity proportional to the content of a heat-transferring material and has heat transfer anisotropy exhibiting excellent heat conductivity in a specific direction by mixing a thermoplastic resin with a regularly arranged heat- transferring material.
This heat transfer anisotropic resin exhibiting strong heat conductivity in an arranged direction is obtained by mixing a thermoplastic resin with a (fibrous) metal or metal oxide capable of being arranged in a magnetic field and then molding the mixture in the magnetic field. The regularly arranged heat conductive material 2 (for example, TiO2) is mixed with the thermoplastic resin 1. The heat-conductive material is preferably mixed in an amount of 20 to 60 wt.% based on the resin. The magnetic field applied to the molding process is preferably ≥3,000 Oe.
