To provide a heat treatment method of steel reducing CO2 gas emission, reducing energy costs necessary for releasing a CO2 gas from an absorbent absorbing the CO2 gas, and suppressing generation of new CO2, and also to provide a method of manufacturing mechanical components, and a heat treatment furnace.
This heat treatment method of steel has processes of: heating a heated object in a heating chamber (S20); discharging an exhaust gas including CO from the heating chamber (S40); generating a combustion exhaust gas including CO2 by combustion of an exhaust gas (S50); recovering combustion energy (S60); absorbing CO2 in the combustion exhaust gas by the absorbent by chemical absorption (S70); releasing CO2 from the absorbent (S80); and recovering the released CO2 (S90). The recovered combustion energy is used in releasing carbon dioxide from the absorbent.
