Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the meandering of a film and simultaneously the decrease of the strength of the film, in a heating device having heat resistance and heating a material to be heated by a heating body via an endless film.
CONSTITUTION: In a fixing device having a fixed heater 12, a film 16 sliding with respect to the heater 12 and a pressurizing member 19 forming a nip part with the film 16 and holding/carrying a supporting body P supporting an image to be fixed between the film 16 and the pressurizing member 19 to fix the image to be fixed, the film 16 is the endless film, at least, almost the end part of one side of the film 16 is thicker than the other part and in a member sliding/passing accompanying with the rotation of the endless belt 16, the radius of curvature R' a of a part where the thick film part 16a increased in thickness of the endless film 16 passes is larger then the other part R'.
