To provide a heating system capable of using waste heat of a fuel cell to an extent sufficient for enhancing energy saving performance, capable of precluding a continuous operation of the fuel cell itself from being disturbed, and capable of operating heating equipment (for example, floor heating) in response to a heating demand, and a control method therefor.
This heating system is constituted to execute control for an operation (operation in a waste heat using mode) of supplying hot water fed with waste heat from a waste heat storage device 2 to a heating tool 4, via a heat feed means (the second heat exchanger Hx2), in advance to combustion in a combustor 31 (prohibiting the combustion in the combustor 31), when a temperature of hot water returned from the heating tool 4 is a target temperature or less.
