To obtain a herbicide composition for paddy field which shows high safety to paddy rice and exerts high herbicidal effects on broad weed species in paddy fields and even on acetobutyrate synthase inhibitory type herbicide resistant crossbreeds by including a compound, e.g. oxadiazon, bensulfuron methyl, azimsulfuron or the like.

This herbicide composition for paddy field is obtained by including (A) 5-tert-butyl-3-(2,4-dichloro-5-isopropoxyphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2(3H)-one (general name: oxadiazon) of formula I and a compound selected from (B) bensulfuron-methyl of formula II, (C) azimsulfuron of formula III, (D) pyrazosulfuron-ethyl of formula IV, (E) imazosulfuron of formula V, F ethoxysulfuron and (G) cyclosulfamron as an active ingredient.
